Pokemon Sun and Pokemon moon have been confirmed through Nintendo Direct. They will be the start of a new generation, Gen 7. During the Nintendo Direct a trailer was played. At the end of that trailer they revealed Pokemon Sun and Moon. They showed some images of concept art. All the of these images were screenshots taken of the trailer.
Let’s start with the buildings:
This image is of a new Pokemon center. This looks to be a stand alone Pokemon center design.
The other building seems to be a hotel. In the wide view you can see some of what the inside will look like including some of the rooms. On the close-up you can tell that it is a hotel centered around water type Pokemon, specifically Horsea.
Next are some vehicles:
There seem to be many more designs for vehicles then in previous games. Some of the vehicles show Pokemon riding in them. There even looks like there will be an ambulance type vehicle. Does this mean we will be able to drive in a Pokemon game?
Finally (saving the best for last) New Pokemon:
This is what I believe to be the same Pokemon. One image shows the back of it with color, while the other shows the front of it in a wireframe view. This appears to be some kind of bird Pokemon. Probably a basic Pokemon with one or two evolutions. (now known as Pikipek)
That is it for the images, but what does all this mean for the game? What are the games about? When will they be released? Most of these questions will be answered in time, but I will share some theories about them.
Through some editing I was able to mimic what the image logos will look like in their full state:
Using these logos I was able to do some overlays of Pokemon and symbols:
The first Pokemon that come to mind when you say Pokemon sun and Pokemon moon are Solrock and Lunatone. As you can see the logos look very much like them. The Pokemon moon logo also looks a lot like the darkness energy. Does this mean we will see a new type? Light? The Pokemon sun logo also looks a lot like a compass. While this may not mean anything it is worth noting.
