Today, a new Trailer was released for Let’s GO Pikachu/Eevee. Let’s discuss some of the new information revealed in the video.
Region Map
A high-resolution image of the Region’s Map has been released. It doesn’t show anything particularly interesting, but it is very cool.
Ridable Pokemon
Certain Larger Pokemon will now be ridable. We had previously been shown a few that could be ridden, but now we can expand that list a bit farther:
- Charizard
- Onix
- Arcanine
- Lapras
Hidden Items
Sometimes, your partner selected to follow behind you can stumble upon hidden items along the path. It is unconfirmed which Pokemon can perform this feat, if not all of them.
Partner Pokemon
Your Partner Pokemon has some special character traits compared to other Pokemon. It is possible to receive both Male or Female versions of the starter Pokemon. Female Eevee now has a heart-shaped pattern on its tail. Also, both you and your Partner Pokemon can change outfits and hairstyles. I’ll admit, it is a bit weird seeing Pikachu with yellow hair coming out of its forehead, but it is still an interesting feature.
Gym Leaders
The trailer shows that Brock and Misty are both Gym Leaders in the game. Brock has a lv.12 Onix, while Misty has a Starmie.
Rival
Your Rival is described as being “friendly” and has the opposite starter of you. If you have a Pikachu, he will have an Eevee, and visa-versa.
Co-Op Play
Trainers that play along side you are considered “Support Trainers.” Within the game, you have the ability to battle and trade with people locally or over the internet.
Version Exclusive Pokemon
Certain Pokemon are only available in one of the two titles. Below is a list with all the known version exclusive Pokemon:
Let’s GO Pikachu
- Oddish
- Sandshrew
- Growlithe
Let’s GO Eevee
- Bellsprout
