I picked up this vintage Lego set at a local Lego convention for $35:
The box is open, and not in the best condition. But all the pieces are inside and still sealed in their original packaging!
This set came with some cool pieces, and all of them (even the ones that are loose) are in mint condition!
The reason that this kit was so cheap is that it was designed for younger kids, and collectors want the older kid sets more because they are more popular. The date on this set is 1987, the set number is 337, and the original price was $13.99.
Is there a catalog inside the box?
No there is not, but I don’t think the original set came with one.
Thanks for your response. I think this set, together with 317 and 327 were American-inclusive.
I am trying to correct the inventory of vintage sets on bricklink. Could you help me with this set? The main question is about the 2*2 and 2*3 bricks (in various colors). Do they have cross support inside? See the photo of the old version on bricklink:

This set 337 was released in 1987 and it was about this time that 3002old (and 3003old) were changed to 3002 and 3003. Could you check these bricks? (in all colors as in one color it can be 3003 but the other color to be 3003old) If you do, I appreciate if you take photos of them.
All the pieces are in the old style, without the cross support. I sent you an email with photos of the individual pieces. If you have any other questions about the set I would be happy to help!
Are you gonna sell it or keep it?
Keep it.
